VOICES is a mediatEUr initiative to continue harnessing the power of digital technologies in peace and peace mediation initiatives. Our work in Lebanon and Jordan was funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, who have also supported the development of VOICES.

We wish to express our admiration and gratefulness to the more than 270 refugees who shared with us their experiences, concerns and hopes for the future of Syria in Jordan and in Lebanon in February and April 2019.

We are grateful for the exemplary support received from our partner organisations, West Asia and North Africa (WANA) in Jordan and the Dawaer Foundation in Lebanon. Their support in organising and facilitating the focus groups and interviews was the key to the success of this project.

We thank the Afaq-Jordan for Development and Training, the Charitable Organisation of East Amman and the UNHCR for hosting the discussions in Jordan.

Moreover, we thank the NGO Ishrak, the Nabaa Organization and the Syrian refugees living in the camp in the Bekaa Valley for hosting the group discussions in Lebanon.

mediatEUr is also thankful to the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre for their additional travel and logistics support for the Jordan mission.

We remain committed to highlighting the voices of refugees as we collectively work towards sustainable peace in Syria.
